Mission Statement J. Himick Landscape Architecture endeavors to design exceptional access and amenities for parks and open space, provide superior client service, protect natural resources, and contribute to community health. Philosophy J. Himick Landscape Architecture is inspired by the idea that parks and open space are paramount to the health of communities. Outdoor experiences are a means for people to realize, restore or maintain their inherent connection with the natural world. And it is a strong connection to the natural world that sustains a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Parks and open space protect natural resources such as wildlife, water, and plant communities. These resources provide a healthy environment which in turn enriches the overall health of the community. By designing access and amenities for parks and open space we hope to contribute to the good health of the people and the environment of the communities in which we work. Action We minimize our impact on the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling the resources we consume. |
